Happy Birthday Jo-Jo!

Today is my beautiful Mom's birthday!
My Mom is the best Mom in the whole world! She is also the funniest Mom in the world! She is so kind, caring, fun, goofy, and amazing. I'm so happy the Heavenly Father blessed me with a great Mom such as her. She is always there for me whenever I need her. I call my Mom all the time to ask about cooking, laundry, cleaning, crafts, and just about any other situation that might arise from my crazy life. Growing up I thought I was a Princess ( I still do), but my Mom will always be my Queen and I love her so much.

My Mom is such a great Grandma to 3 silly grand kids. She gives them anything they want and will help them with anything she needs. She loves them and they love her!

Jo loves nothing more than to vacation with her family. This past year we went on a ton of vacations! Mom is a great planner and makes sure that we have every dinner and activity planned. She loves to have fun and explorer new places. The best vacation we went on was a trip to Oregon where of course our motor home broke down. The sewer tank blew out and some guy was trying to replace a tire and Mom saw Sewer "stuff" running towards the guy. Mom kept putting paper towel on the ground to stop the "stuff" from touching the guy. (GROSS) Fell free to share your funniest Vacation moment with Jo Gines!

Mom is an amazing cook she has tried and tried to teach me, but it just goes in one ear and out the other. She is the Queen of killing I swear show her a stain and it stands no change against my Mother.Mom always did the not so fun stuff around the house, clean up puke, kill the spiders, fix my pain, cook, and try to make us kids help her clean the house. I hope one day I can be "a strong Edman Woman" like her.

My mom is so out going and loves life. She has been through so much and can give you advise on almost anything you ask her about. In High school my Mom was the rad Mom, everyone loved her and wanted to come play at my house because my Mom was cool. She fed our friends by the dozen I know most of my friends would come to my house just to eat and then leave. They would all call her Mama Jo and they thought of her as a 2ND Mom! Thanks for being such a cool Mom.
She has supported me in every play I have been in! She was at every play at woods cross every night and even backstage helping with food. She was at Rodgers when ever she could make it.

How is my Mom Super Woman? Thanks Mom for being so awesome with us as your 4 kids I don't know how you are still sane. Thanks for teaching me everything I know and for teaching my example. I know I can come to you whenever I need help, advise, or just need to talk to someone. You are truly the best! Happy Birthday, I LOVE YOU!!

Happy 28th Birthday Travis!

Happy Birthday Travis! (I'm writing this a day early because I'm very busy on Wednesdays! sorry) Travis is my big brother! We are only 18 months apart and I am so grateful for the fun times that trav and I had growing up! Here are some of our highlights!!
*I got my first job at Baskin Robbins in bountiful. Trav was already working there when I was hired on. So Trav and I had the wonderful opportunity of working together a lot. Trav never had a lot of patience for anyone, especially his sister. So working with him was challenging at times, but looking back I'm thankful for travis and how he taught me to "suck it up and get back to work." (I could have lived without being locked in the freezer from time to time, but oh well.) Travis has always been a hard worker. And lazy people annoyed him. (I think they still do!) He was never one to sit down on the job! And he never let me either! He taught me how to do a job that you could be proud of.*Because Travis and I are so close in age we also spent a lot of time together at school. We had some of the same friends. He dated my friends and I dated his! It was a lot of fun to hang out with my older brother and his "cute" friends. I'm sure it annoyed him, but i will always cherish the times we spent together. He ran track in school and boy was he good! He had made such great friends in track and I wanted to have good friends as well, so I joined the track team. (until i fiqured out that I hate to run-so then I helped out the coach) I got to watch trav run at a lot of his races, and I was always so proud to tell people that Trav was my brother (that is when he won, of course!)*After Travis graduated he went off to the army (but I think that was just because my mom told him he couldn't! In case I haven't mentioned it yet Travis has a stubborn side to him.) We missed him, but somehow we got by. Then Travis went on a mission to Argentina, and he was gone for another two years. Again we all missed travis and couldn't wait for him to return! We were so proud of him for the good choices he was making in his life and for the great example that he was to us.*Then he came home and married Natalie (his better half). This was a fun time for all of us, because Travis, Adam and I all got married within a year of each other. So it was fun to be able to go through this fun time in our lives together!
I was the first one to have kids. Travis always liked to tease MyKelle, and because of this she didn't like him very much. But she did like it when he made her "fly". He tried to be a good uncle, I just don't think that he knew (or didn't care) that girls don't like to be teased.

Then Trav became a dad! I have never seen him more loving, caring, or even nicer then when he is with Addison! He is a great loving father that I know will teach Addison all the wonderful lessons that he taught me. (hopefully a little nicer!)I love you trav! Happy Birthday!

My Elbow Hurts

I am having some moderate pain in my elbow that carries down to my wrist at this moment. I decided to got to webmd.com and try to find out why. Here is one of the symptoms I may be having..

"Sickle Cell Crisis
Sickle Cell Crisis Overview
Sickle cell disease is the most common of the hereditary blood disorders. It occurs almost exclusively among black Americans and black Africans.
Sickle cell disease in black Americans occurs in 3 of every 1,000 (or about 1 in 375) live births. Estimates indicate that the severe form of sickle cell disease affects more than 50,000 black Americans"

Uhh..... maybe one of the questions that I had to answer should have been. "Are you a whiny White kid?" if so you may not have Sickle Cell disease.
