My new motto for the year is “stick it to the old dude”. Of course I can’t state such a bold and awesome motto and not have some context behind it…so here we go.
I get so sick and tired of getting cursed at by 80 year old dudes over idiotic issues around one dollar that didn’t match this or that, and the pure fact that they don’t have the ability to bring common sense, reason, or 1st grade mathematics into the conversation. If the old folks in this world would take 3 seconds to think before they curse, this world would be a better place.
So driving up to the Utah Vs TDS game last Tuesday night, my father was telling me about some old dude that ran into his car. I asked my Dad if he got a rental car and he told me no, and I had the feeling he was just trying to be nice to some old dude who thinks driving on the sidewalk and hitting cars is better than driving in the road. I told my dad that these old dudes are killing me and if he gets a chance to “stick it to the old dude” you have to…don’t pass it up…get the rental car…..Tell the cop your neck hurts..WHATEVER…they would do the same thing and MORE if it was you driving on the sidewalk hitting their car. Little did I know I was going to get my chance to get even at the game.
Towards the end of a tight rivalry game, things really start to get intense because there was only about 3 min left and the Utes were trying to fight back to win the game……THE ENTIRE stadium is going nutz….everyone is standing and cheering and having a good time, UNTIL these 2 old dudes behind us start yelling for everyone in front of them to sit down. I was able to ignore these dudes for about 2 min. They kept whining, and crying like little old dude babies, and no one could get them to shut up…so I exploded. I turned around and yelled something like, “We are not going to sit down, the entire stadium is standing up. It’s a damn rivalry game and it’s exciting. If you want to see the game. STAND UP, it’s not that big of a deal.” Both those dudes shut right up……Ahhh it feels sooooooo good to “stick it to an old dude”, and remember it’s not like they can ask for your supervisor and cry and curse to them =) Your not at work!!!!!
So if you get a chance….please "stick it to the old dude"…you will be a better person for it.
